My experience
Welcome to Translation Creation Linguistic Services!
I am Lina Morales and for over 20 years, I have been helping individuals and companies to solve their language needs in English and Spanish.
I specialize in web content, renewable energies, education and marketing, and I am here to help you communicate in your client's language.
My journey as a translator started right after I graduated in Translation and Interpreting in Chile. That was a long time ago, in 2001. Soon enough, I had the opportunity to continue working in the United States, thanks to a friend from those years, who encouraged me to take this big step.
While working, I continued my studies to specialize in the subjects I wanted to focus on and in those that life presented to me. Years went by and I earned another bachelor's degree in Language and Education, and a master's degree in Literature, among other certifications.
The idea of working with languages and making a living from it starts in the school years. But how to achieve it? Thanks to small business projects supported by my parents, I was able to learn the value of saving money and working with a clear goal to achieve what you set out to do.
Over the years, many people have been key for me to build the path I set out on.
I was fortunate to be surrounded by women leaders in work and personal environments, who guided my path and my experiences. Some of them no longer share my day-to-day life, but every morning I thank them for having crossed my journey and lent me a hand.
I consider myself part of the multicultural community in this globalized world. Having a dual citizenship (Chile-U.S.) has provided me the opportunity to develop my professional and academic career in both knowledge systems within an international setting.
While working as a translator and bilingual editor, I had meaningful professional experiences in marketing, management and education. Institutions such as an embassy, a theater, an international school and governmental organizations have relied on my language skills to lead projects.
My experience as well as my leadership skills have allowed me to work both independently and in team environments in organizations and companies.
Not only do I represent a language, but I understand and operate across multicultural contexts.
Specialization in renewable energies and sustainability

10 Reasons to Work With Me
Nací, me crié y obtuve una de mis licenciaturas en Chile. Todos los proyectos lingüísticos de Translation Creation son traducidos por un traductor de lengua materna en el idioma al que se traduce.
I have over 15 years of experience in the translation field and a comprehensive linguistic and language development and education. I have extensively worked in English and Spanish speaking environments, which provides me with a broad cultural awareness.
I work with the necessary hardware and software to manage, translate and edit projects in different file formats, and in a unified and efficient manner. I currently work with SDL Trados Studio and other related CAT tools.
I listen carefully to my clients’ instructions and expectations. An open communication line helps me meet their needs and requirements, ensure a timely delivery and produce a top-quality product.
I also take confidentiality and privacy agreements very seriously because I understand their legal implications. I comply with the code of ethics of the Chilean Association of Translators and Interpreters (in Spanish) and the American Translators Association, given my status as a professional member in both associations.
I provide language services to clients from around the world and my rates are in line with other translation and writing services with similar quality standards.
I lived and worked in the United States for 14 years and one year in the United Kingdom. I pursued a B.A. and a Master’s degree in the U.S. and I hold a TEFL certification from Canada in addition to several certifications on continuing professional development.
Before starting any translation project, I do the appropriate research to render the content accurately into the target language. I also use localization and transcreation techniques when my clients need to serve a target audience or local market with specific cultural and sociolinguistic traits.
Each of my projects undergoes a proofreading stage before I deliver the final product to my clients. Consistency in style, terminology and linguistic quality are thoroughly reviewed.
Linguistic projects always present certain challenges and this is what it makes them interesting for me to work on. I am confident I can solve small issues such as agreeing in ambiguous terminology to more challenging issues, such as delivering projects in specific formats and layouts.
As a professional translator, I specialize in a number of subjects. In addition, I collaborate and consult with a team of qualified translators that specializes in a variety of areas. Rest assured that I only engage in projects that I am confident I can deliver top-quality services.
